Musically Elvis

"Ladies and Gentlemen Suspiciously Elvis"

Suspiciously Elvis

Suspiciously Elvis has been Suspiciously Elvis for nearly 10 years now!

In that time he has developed into a polished, top class act who’s reputation has grown both in size and demand requiring him to travel the globe performing sell-out concerts and open air festivals in the Far & Middle East, Europe and the British Isles.

He faithfully and brilliantly re-creates those memorable Las Vegas concerts when The King was at the height of his reign!!

“I love doing this show and we always have a lot of fun, the band are so professional and like family!!” he says.

“I think we have the perfect line up of great musicians, singers and dancers and here they are......”

Tony Brown  |   Tom Walker  |   Darren Ormsby  |
Jim Maving  |   Robbie Keys  |   Rietta Austin  |   Kayo Anosike

"Ladies and gentlemen the hard workin’ Tony Brown on Drums"

Tony Brown! Hard Workin' Those Drums
Tony IS quite simply the back bone to the whole show!!
One of the two remaining original band members, Tony started banging wooden spoons on pots and pans at the age of 8! He had a 10 year 'break' from music, and in 1998 Tony teamed back up with old band mate Phil Wellington to form the successful and popular covers band 'Undercover', which is still going to this day.

Tony was very instrumental in forming the Suspiciously Elvis Show in 2001 and has been in the Drummers Seat ever since!

Tony has studied, meticulously, the style of playing required for this type of show. By watching hours of original footage between Elvis and his drummer, Ronnie Tutt, Tony effortlessly manages to create that special and playful relationship they had.

From the very recognizable opening drum roll of 'C.C Rider', to the mind-numbing speed of 'Suspicious Minds' to the final play out, Tony, like Tutt never takes his eyes off Suspiciously Elvis which easily leaves the drumming the most demanding and important role in the company. He is now famous for getting through two sometimes three shirts in one show due solely to sweating and well..."hard workin!"

"Ladies and gentlemen the multi-talented Tom Walker on Lead Guitar"

Tom on Lead Guitar

Tom Walker and his knowledge of interesting, but I fear useless facts, is becoming a regular face on our front line in the band.

Tom started his career in music playing Ukulele Banjo when he was 4, aninstrument his father, who also plays banjo and guitar, introduced himtoo. He took guitar lessons at school and has played in a number ofprofessional bands whilst maturing into an extraordinary musician who,in recent years has begun to write his own music, some of which you canhear at his my space site  :  www.myspace.com/tomwalkerguitar.

Tom is, in my mind, a ’real pro’! He learns every’Guitar lic’ handed to him identically to how James Burtonplayed them all those years ago. Tom is such fun to have around andbrings a lot of happiness to the group, partly, because he never stopssmiling and especially, when he starts doing his Sting and FreddieMercury impressions!!! Priceless.

Tom’s hope for the future is to have his very own James Burton 1974 2 piece band suit!

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Darren Ormsby on Bass Guitar"

Darren on Bass Guitar

Darrenbegan his music career as a child when he performed on an Australian children’s television show for six years. In 1994 Darren was selected to play bass in Harry M Miller’s Jesus Christ Superstar. The show toured Australia and New Zealand over a 12 month period underthe musical directorship of David Hirschfelder (Strictly Ballroom,Shine, Romeo and Juliet and Rise).

In 1995 Darren received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston MA. Following a trip to London in 1998 he was asked to audition for Jamiroquai. He has been fortunate to have worked with artists such as Jeff Young (keyboard for Sting, Donald Fagen and Alanis Morrisette),Greg Johnson, Eddie Rayner (Split Enz), and Annie Crummer, to name a few.

His bass playing/vocals can be heard on various TV jingles and album recordings. He recently moved to London from New Zealand and is working with Halo Recording artist Rietta Austin whose album has just been released. Darren came to us through Simon Nelson in May 2006 and we instantly clicked. Darren’s versatility and experience added awhole new energy to our show and he immediately locked in with Tony Brown on drums to form a dynamite combo that gives us all a kick up thebehind when they start up!! To me he is the finest bass player in the business.

"Ladies and Gentlemen on piano we have the "Jubbster" Robbie Keys"

Robbie Keys on Piano

The one thing we have been missing all these years is a piano player.

Not only do we have a piano player we have THE PIANO PLAYER!

Since Robbie has become a member of the band the show has taken on a far more authentic sound. Not only does Robbie bring hearty driving rock piano to big show numbers like "Burning Love", he also brings the lush warmth piano to the ballads like "Bridge Over Trouble Water" in exactly the same way Elvis's own pianist did. Robbie also covers the full Brass and String sections which really fill out and complete the show and we are so lucky to be able to share the stage with him!!

Having gained a Science degree at Salford University Robbie decided he wanted to become a Muso! He has worked as a professional Keyboard player for 10 years and has established himself as an accomplished, creative and multifaceted artist. His experience spans many styles including Soul, Pop, Rock, Jazz and Latin and has led him to work with artists such as Jay Davies, Monster Soup, Cliff Richard, The Supremes and Kim Wilde. More recently, Robbie has been concentrating on creating his own music and formed the project Jamanation.

Starting her career as ‘Dionne’ in Hair, she went on to support Randy Crawford, Dionne Warwick and Brian Adams. Kayo has sung with The Original USA Gospel Choir - a tour that led her to sing across Europe and at the Vatican!
